Though it may not seem apparent immediately, the invasion of wildlife into your home can pose a major threat to all involved. The different animals should be handled carefully to protect both the homeowner and themselves.

 Humane Capture

Whether its bats or raccoons living in your attic, it’s vital to use the most appropriate and humane traps to capture them. Every animal trapping is unique and each requires unique strategies. The different species require different kinds of baits to lure them out.

At all times, it is essential to perform live catching so the animals can be relocated. The traps used should be big enough to accommodate the unwanted guest. Wildlife laws are set in place to protect the wildlife and using small cages can be considered animal cruelty.

Exclusion Work

One of the most effective ways of wildlife removal is the closing of all access points to the house. Even if you get rid of one raccoon but don’t get proper exclusion work done, another raccoon will be attracted by the scent of the previous occupier and come set up shop in your house.

As a wildlife removal company, we provide effective exclusion work that stops any old or new wildlife from accessing your home. A detailed survey is done on your home to determine all points of entry. Then, using concrete and metal materials, we seal all these potential entry points thus preventing further access.

Though the wild animal is gone, the danger they pose isn’t. During the wild animal’s residency, they cause significant damage by urinating, defecating and giving birth. Thus, they contaminate your home with bacteria, insects, and disease.

We offer thorough antimicrobial treatment and dropping clean up which we carry out as soon as possible. This will protect your family from the dangers caused by the animal leavings.

An Overview Of The History Of Lansing Michigan

Throughout the history of the state of Michigan, the history of Lansing Michigan has been filled with those from a diverse population that included an abundance of forward-thinking innovators. The area, that is now known as the state’s capital city, was first surveyed in 1825. During this time, the area consisted of nothing more than a thick forest. It would be many decades later before the first roads would be built in the area.

The Origins Of Lansing

During the later part of 1835 and the early part of 1836, there were some brothers who moved to the area and plotted the piece of land that is now known as REO Town. Located south of the downtown area, this plot of land was originally known as Biddle City.

Unfortunately, most of the land was situated in what was known as a floodplain and it stayed flooded and underwater for a large part of the year. The brothers went back to New York and decided to sell the residents plots of land for a town was not there.

Upon getting to the area over a year later, the New Yorkers quickly realized that they had been scammed. However, they decided to stay and settle in what is now known as metro Lansing. They decided to name the plots of land Lansing Township after their hometown in New York.

This area remained relatively quaint and dormant until the later part of the 1840s. It was during this time that the state constitution decided that the capital should be moved to an area that was not only more centralized, but also safer.

Many residents were concerned about the capital being in Detroit because of its proximity to Canada. Canada also captured the city during the war of 1812. Even though the United States regained control of the city in 1813, this was the main reason why officials decided the state capital had to be moved to the interior of the state.

The Automotive Industry And Lansing

The majority of what is known in Lansing is the result of the area’s emergence as an industrial powerhouse in the state. The industrial industry grew quickly because of the founding of the Olds Motor Vehicle Company in the late 1890s.

The Olds Motor Company went through a series of changes which included a buyout that occurred between 1897 and 1905. The buyout happened when Ransom E. Olds, the founder, formed the REO Motor Company. This company would be a fixture in Lansing for the next seven decades.

In 1903, the Olds Motor Company and the Clarksmobile joined forces, and over the next few decades Lansing would be transformed into a major industrial center for the entire country, especially for automotive manufacturing.

In 1956, the land area of the city also grew, and over the next 20 years, it grew to its current size of about 33 square miles.

The history of Lansing Michigan has beginnings that almost led to the end of the township. However, despite its rough beginnings, the city became a major industrial hub for the United States.
